A warning has been given to pupils from a Dereham high school after several students were seen walking across an icy pond in the town.
Pupils from Neatherd High School were spotted this morning on the Neatherd Moor pond, just a few hundred yards from the school in Norwich Road.
Emails have been sent to parents and teachers have warned their pupils today not to walk on the icy pond.
Jenny Parker, assistant headteacher of Neatherd High School, said: 'It is incredibly dangerous and the last thing we would want is one of the kids falling through the ice.'
Forecasters have predicted three inches of widespread snowfall across Norfolk tomorrow night and the cold snap has already hit the western fringes of the county.
