A bowls club in Wymondham will start its 51st season with a new clubhouse and equipment shed.
The Priory Garden Bowls Club has received funding grants enabling the previous building, off Middleton Street, to be replaced, in time for the start of the new season in May.
The club will be marking the occasion with a coffee morning, between 10am and midday on Saturday, March 17 in nearby Ogden Court.
The event is being held as part of a range of activities in the town, under the title of 'Wymondham Goes Green'.
The club was founded in 1960 by GP and town councillor Dr George Gaynor, for retired people in the Forehoe and Henstead District.
For a small annual subscription, members have regular roll-up sessions during afternoons each week. Several Cups and Shields are contested each season and friendly challenge matches are arranged, both at home and away, with other clubs in the area.
