A Hempnall bridge is set to close for nine days to allow for repairs and waterproofing to take place prior to the start of major road resurfacing works.
Work is set to begin on the river bridge at Mill Road, Hempnall on March 10 before the resurfacing work starts on the section from the junction with The Krons through to the 30mph speed limit on the eastern approach to Hempnall on March 19.
During the bridge repairs, the road will be closed to traffic in three phases. Fully signed diversions will be in place for the duration of each phase of work.
Access to properties and businesses within the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time, although it is inevitable that there will be some disruption. The work, which will cost 220,000, should finish on March 30.
