Rock fans raised the roof for charity at the weekend during an annual fundraising gig that is hoped to have hit the 5,000 mark.
Hundreds of music lovers turned out in force for North Walsham Live Aid, which featured a stomping soundtrack provided by five home grown bands, a raffle and an auction of rock and roll memorabilia donated by some of the biggest names in the business.
A drum head signed by Roger Taylor of Queen and a signed photo of Rolling Stone Bill Wyman were among the 35 items up for grabs.
But it was a bass guitar signed by Genesis star Mike Rutherford that attracted the highest bids and sold for 300. A signed photo of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne fetched more than 100 and a signed picture from the private collection of racing legend Sir Stirling Moss also sold well.
The auction alone raised 1,700 and as the money continues to be counted up, it is hoped the night will have made 5,000, which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and specifically towards its paediatric work in Norfolk.
Organiser Barry Holden wished to thank the team of volunteers who helped stage Saturday's gig and is now making plans for 2013's event, which he aims to make an even bigger success than this year.
