Spixworth singer Sam Kelly has rubbished rumours that he might have to pull out of Britain's Got Talent after suffering an injury playing football.
Reports in a national newspaper yesterday said he could miss the live shows after breaking four ribs, but the 19-year-old took to Twitter immediately to set the record straight.
Replying to followers asking about the article, he wrote: 'I have no idea what that was about haha... Yeah, I hurt my ribs playing footy a couple of weeks ago, wasn't anything major tho!'
He said to another: 'They're fine thanks for asking! Won't stop me playing footie let alone singing.'
Sam, 19, wowed judges with a version of Adele's Make You Feel My Love at his live audition, with David Walliams telling the former Sprowston High School student he had been 'blown away'.
