Sheringham's town mayor said he felt 'positive' about today's (Sunday's) jubilee celebrations - despite the cancellation of the big picnic event due to the weather.
More than 150 people braved the rain and enjoyed a small-scale picnic in the Sports Pavilion behind Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre.
Mayor Douglas Smith said: 'With the people who turned up we had a very rousing sing of the national anthem and before that 500 people enjoyed a special Diamond Jubilee service at St Peter's Church.
'Unfortunately we had to cancel the rest of the day's event, including our live music, but we were joined by dignitaries from our twin towns Otterndorf, in Germany, and Muzillac, in France.'
