An anonymous team of nimble-fingered yarn bombers surprised townsfolk in Sheringham today (Monday) with a jubilee-themed treat.
A woolly row of knitted crowns were wrapped Banksy-style, around the lamp posts at random locations in the town centre.
The knitting group - who wanted to remain anonymous - dubbed themselves 'The Loops'.
A spokesman from the group said: 'We wanted to make people smile and bring 'yarn sprinkling' to the town.'
Yarn bombing - or sprinkling - is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colourful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk.
