More than 20 gardens were opened to the public in Overstrand last month to help raise money for charity.
The open gardens event took place on June 17 and proceeds from the event raised a substantial donation for Quidenham Children's Hospice, which is part of EACH.
A cheque for 5286.80 was presented to Jessica Hiscocks (pictured) on behalf of the hospice.
She said it was the most they had ever received from an open gardens day and it was the largest cheque they had received this year.
The Overstrand Open Gardens Working Party said the event raised the profile of the village more than 1000 of the visitors had never been to Overstrand before and were very impressed by the community spirit of the event.
