A South Norfolk artist has teamed up with a funeral directors to showcase some unique urns.
Trained sculptor Annie Leigh, who lives in Aslacton, creates bespoke biodegradable urns in forms and designs that celebrate the interests or personality of the individual.
She has created papier mache and cardboard urns in all shapes and sizes, including teapots and even a vintage suitcase for an enthusiastic traveller.
And the interest in personalised funerals growing, the artist is showcasing her work through Rosedale Funeral Home, which has branches throughout South Norfolk and North Suffolk.
Rosedale's Anne Beckett-Allen said: 'Annie's urns are stunning. When ashes are returned to a family it's nice for them to be presented in a special way and it's particularly nice that these bespoke urns are suitable for display or interment.'
Mrs Leigh added: 'It's very touching to hear how much a personalised urn can enhance the ritual of saying goodbye. As well as drawing on my creative passion, making my eco-urns also taps into my love of nature and appreciation of the significance of ritual in our lives.'
