East of England Ambulance Service crews attended the scene at Dereham Road on the junction with Bowthorpe Road at 12.55pm today.
Seven people were taken to hospital with minor injuries following the 2-vehicle crash.
Fire appliances from Earlham and Carrow attended, and crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate one person.
Delays are expected on bus services 21/22/23/23A/24/24A and diversions are being put in place.
