Norwich City captain Grant Holt is poised to turn out for a Carlisle United 'all stars' line up on Sunday against the Blues' current squad in a testimonial game for defender Peter Murphy.
Holt will be on duty for the Canaries in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge this weekend before travelling back to his native Cumbria to lend his support to former Republic of Ireland international Murphy, who is celebrating a decade of service at Brunton Park.
Current United boss Greg Abbott is also poised to feature alongside Holt, Swansea striker Danny Graham and Sunderland keeper Keiren Westwood – two former Carlisle old boys.
Harraby-bred Holt is a lifelong supporter of the Blues, but never turned out for his hometown club during a career which started in non league at Workington.
