While the sudden cold snap has caused problems for many, the wildlife at Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, near Fakenham, looked quite content in the snow yesterday.
Many walked on water, waddled through snow and enjoyed the calm tranquillity in private.
The reserve is closed to the public for health and safety reasons but staff are still going in to feed the birds and red squirrels.
EDP photographer Ian Burt enjoyed exclusive access to the reserve yesterday to capture these stunning pictures.
Updates on the opening of the reserve will appear on the website, www.pensthorpe.com
