Drivers of vans and 4x4s are being urged to take action following the theft of a number of catalytic converters from vehicles in east Suffolk on Friday night.
Suffolk Police are recommending catalytic converters are marked and that vehicles are kept securely or in well-lit, public areas.
It comes after nine were taken between 5pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday, with four vehicles targeted around the Halesworth area.
One was taken from a Ford Ranger parked on a driveway on Harrisons Lane, and one from a Mitsubishi pick-up at The Paddocks. Others were taken from a Toyota Hilux and a Fiat Ducato camper van at Park Walk in Holton, near Halesworth.
On the same night Ford Rangers in Gypsy Lane, Frostenden, near Wrentham, and Hawthorn Close, Knodishall, near Leiston, Mitsubishi Warriors in Kings Road, Bungay, and Burches Close, Knodishall, and a Toyota Hilux in Seaward Avenue, Leiston, were all targeted.
Anyone with any information about these incidents should call Suffolk Police on 101 or if you see any suspicious activity near vehicles dial 999.
