Ole Slewfoot was a fabled North American bear, now lending his name to a range of ales made using East Anglian barley from the Branthill Farm on the Holkham Hall Estate.
The kit came from Bowhouse brewery on Salisbury Plain. It was bought from Glastonbury Ales and part of it may have originally come from Humpty Dumpty in Reedham. The emphasis for the beer range is on flavour and colour. Different yeasts are used for different ale flavour profiles and also for bottle conditioning. The brewery has created ales of outstanding flavour and colour for all real ale lover, and is keeping the tradition of rustic cottage artisan ales of day gone by, both British and European.
