An application for a 24-hour licence by burger chain McDonalds has been granted for one of its Norwich stores.
The application for the restaurant and drive-through in Boundary Road was objected to by Hellesdon Parish Council because of noise worries from local residents.
A Broadland District Council licensing sub-committee granted the decision this morning, with an added condition that signs are put up to encourage customers to be considerate of people living nearby.
The Boundary Road McDonalds currently has a licence to serve between 5am and midnight, and until 2am on its busiest nights of Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The only McDonalds store in the Norwich area to have a 24-hour licence at the moment is the Longwater restaurant in Costessey, although the new McDonalds on the A47 at Brundall is also open 24 hours a day.
