The efforts of kind-hearted readers of the Eastern Daily Press to support a youngster dubbed the 'Miracle Girl' continue to have a lasting impact on her life almost two decades on from one of the paper's most popular campaigns.
In the 1990s hundreds of EDP readers dug deep to support a fund set up to help African war orphan Tenneh Cole, who had been flown to Norfolk to have a bullet removed from her brain.
Now the fund will help support a tailored education programme for the 22-year-old, to ensure that her amazing recovery from the hardships of her early life can continue.
