It's all over in Great Yarmouth – 13 wards have been declared and we've got a hung council - 14 Conservatives, 14 Labour, 10 UKIP and one Independent.

The parties will now enter into discussions with each other and there are a range of options open to them.

They could form a formal rainbow coalition or Independent Colin Fox could offer support to either Labour or Conservative, effectively acting as kingmaker.

Likewise, councillors could agree to operate under an informal agreement where every colour is represented on cabinet. The latter is how the authority has been running since the 2014 vote.

They have until May 19 to broker a deal as that is the date of Great Yarmouth Borough Council's next full meeting. And first item on the agenda? Electing the leader.
