The A11 has been reopened after a woman was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after the tandem bicycle she was riding collided with a car.
A man who was also riding the tandem was also taken to hospital with less serious injuries.
The crash happened near the A14 junction of the A11 at about 3.45pm today.
Police said a silver Toyota collided with a tandem bike, injuring both riders. The female rider, whose age has not yet been confirmed, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with multiple injuries. The male rider was also hurt, but not as seriously.
The northbound road was shut as officers investigated the scene, but Suffolk police said the road was fully re-opened at 6.30pm.
