Police are urging people to be vigilant with their belongings after thieves stole tools and equipment from a van.

Three chainsaws, a leaf blower and an axe were swiped from the van while it was parked in Hall Close, Bodham.

Officers are now appealing for information and have also made a plea for people to protect their property.

PC Deborah Kent said: 'We would urge everyone to be vigilant with their belongings, people should remember to keep their homes and vehicles secure and to keep personal property out of sight.'

Anyone with information about the theft, which happened between 7.30pm on December 23 and 7.30am the following day, should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
