A father-of-three who died from cancer will be remembered at a charity night at a city pub where his wife works.
James Lemmon died before Christmas and would have been 40 tomorrow.
His widow Amy, 28, works behind the bar at The Rose in Queens Road, where her aunt, Dawn Hopkins is the landlady.
They have arranged the free event at the pub, from 8pm on Saturday, January 11, in aid of leukaemia and lymphoma research.
The night will feature a horse racing event, as Mr Lemmon was a fan of the sport, live music with Norwich's Luna Ghost playing for free, and a raffle with prizes including tickets to see the musical, 'Wicked' in the West End.
The raffled items will also include Christmas presents that Mr Lemmon never opened.
Mrs Lemmon said her husband died from the cancer, Non-Hodgkins lymphoma at their home in Foulgers Opening, off Ber Street, on December 13.
She said: 'We had been married three-and-a-half years and been together for eight years.
'We met at the Rose. I was working behind the bar and James was in the pool team.
'He was diagnosed with cancer in February 2010 and we married in the June. He was having chemotherapy on the Tuesday before we married on the Saturday.'
She said that while she was obviously aware that her husband was ill, she never thought that he was about to die.
She said: 'He was a very laid-back person and took everything in his stride. He was never annoyed by having cancer, and took everything as it came. He loved his children and had them every weekend, unless he was at the hospital.'
Mr Lemmon, who received a bone marrow transplant from a German donor in 2012, worked in accounts for the NHS in Norwich.
The funeral, with donations to the Weybourne Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, was held at St Mark's Church in Lakenham on December 30. Mr Lemmon grew up in Lakenham and had three children Ross, 14, Elliot, 12 and Jack, 10.
Mrs Lemmon plans to scatter her husband's ashes at Ascot racecourse in March.
