Comedian Jon Richardson has proved a hit in Lowestoft before stepping foot in the town after tickets for his show at the Marina Theatre on Sunday sold out.

Jon is well known to television audiences as a team captain on the Channel 4 show 8 out of 10 Cats and he will be bringing his Nidiot tour to the Marina.

The Lancaster comic performed his first comedy gig in 2003.

Since the, he has also appeared on Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Tomorrow night, music magic from the 1950s and 1960s will be brought to life at the Marina by Jukebox and Bobbysox.

From 7.30pm, a cast of 14 will pay tribute to legendary singers and bands such as Dusty Springfield, The Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Elvis Presley, Brenda Lee, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Petula Clark, Billy Fury and Cilla Black.

Tonight, the Marina's big screen will start showing Grand Budapest Hotel, which stars Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody and Jeff Goldblum.

The film is about the adventures of Gustave H, a concierge at a European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, a lobby boy who becomes his friend.

It involves the theft of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune set against the backdrop of a dramatically changing continent.

It is directed by Will Anderson, whose previous films include The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic and Fantastic Mr Fox.

Grand Budapest Hotel is being shown at 2.30pm and 7.3pm every day until Thursday.
