Two people who suffered serious injuries after a head-on collision on the A47 are still in hospital.

The man and woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn after their Peugeot 307 was involved in a collision with a lorry in Middleton last Thursday.

The crash happened at around 2pm near the Crown Pub and the junction with Station Road. Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the man and the woman.

The driver suffered a suspected shoulder fracture, arm and pelvic injury. The front seat passenger suffered a suspected broken pelvis. The lorry driver escaped injury but suffered from shock.

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who has any information on the manner of driving of either of the vehicles beforehand.
