Norfolk's largest community farm scheme received a boost with the visit of one of the country's most respected organic farmers.
Bob Flowerdew, a regular panelist on BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time, praised the work of the Norwich FarmShare project on the edge of Norwich.
The initiative, on a seven acre site at Postwick, has been running for the last four years and has more than 120 members, who support the production of local food and drink on the site.
Mr Flowerdew, visited the community farm's open day today, where he gave growing tips to the dozens of people who attended.
James Frost, one of the organisers, said it was a 'privilege' to have one of the country's leading authorities on organic farming speaking at the event.
'I'm really pleased with the weather and really pleased with the turn out. There is a lot of interest in local food and growing your own. There are a lot of people in Norwich growing vegetables in their gardens and there are quite a lot of allotment areas, but this is a unique opportunity to be growing with a community,' he said.
