From Belgian chocolates to Transylvanian glass, the flavour and feel of the continent comes to four Norfolk market towns over the next few weeks as they are transformed into bustling European market places.
On Friday, November 28 a traditional European Food and Craft Fair will take centre stage in King Street, Thetford bringing new taste sensations and the delights of our continental neighbours to Norfolk.
They will then set up stall in Dereham's market place on Sunday, November 30 and head to North Walsham for a two-day event on Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20.
They will bid farewell to the county at a market in Holt on Sunday, December 21.
Traders will come from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland and many more countries, offering a range of products including delectable cheeses, sausages, tartiflette (a delicious cheese and potatoes dish from the Alps), charcuterie and so on.
For those with a sweet tooth, there will also be delicious freshly made crepes.
Apart of these tasty goods, you will also be able to choose from a wide range of products including hand bags and leather items, Marseille soaps, lavender, children's toys and pashminas. They promise there will be something for everyone.
Most of the products on sale come from each stall holder's region, where they are produced by small organisations (family businesses, farms, small factories...) using traditional methods, maintaining a high standard of quality.
The traders will wear their traditional costumes, providing a warm atmosphere to this event. Particular attention is given to the stall's decoration and detail; each trader will have a flag from their respective country flying from their stall.
