Children at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital have been given a special pre- Christmas treat as five Norwich City footballers paid them a visit.
Jonny Howson, Bradley Johnson, Jamar Loza, Nathan Redmond and John Ruddy spent the afternoon on the Buxton Ward of Jenny Lind Children's Hospital. They handed out gift sets and vouchers to the hospital, talked to the patients, signed autographs and posed for photos at the annual event- funded by the squad.
Emma Dolman, Matron of Children Services said: 'The visit from the players really helped to spread festive cheer to the young patients on the ward. The visit was a complete surprise to the patients and for a lot of them being able to meet their local footballing heroes is a dream come true. We are incredibly grateful to Norwich City Football Club for making the time to visit the ward, talk to the children and for their generous donations.'
The visit was supported by The Community Sports Foundation, Norwich City's official charity partner. Emma Fletcher, CSF Fundraising Officer said: 'The players loved meeting some of the brave children in the ward and helping to spread festive cheer. It was great to see the smiles - you can see how much it meant to both the children and their parents.'
