A coastal sports club will be getting new and improved equipment thanks to a council grant windfall.
Mundesley Table Tennis Club has received £3,000 from North Norfolk District Council's Big Society Fund.
The money will pay for four modern table tennis tables and other equipment.
This will be used to allow existing members to promote the sport in the area.
The money will also be used to develop an after-school table tennis club at Mundesley Junior School.
Wyndham Northam, who represents Mundesley on North Norfolk District Council, attended a club session at the Coronation Hall on Cromer Road, Mundesley.
He said: 'I was impressed by the commitment and dedication of the club members; two of whom are qualified national umpires and coaches.
'I highly commend the committee for its hard work, dedication and commitment and am delighted to that North Norfolk District Council has been able to help fund the new equipment. I hope that it will encourage many more local residents to take up table tennis.'
The group meets every Thursday at 7pm. For more information contact secretary Derek Sidaway on 01263 722930.
