A man has been charged with a string of offences including making threats to kill and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence after an incident that closed the A11.
Paul Anthony John Smith, 48, from Larling, was arrested on Thursday after officers were called to an address at around 3pm and had to close the A11 for almost two hours to ensure the safety of the public.
Smith has now been charged with assault occassioning actual bodily harm, threats to kill and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said he appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
He will appear at the court again on February 16.
