Three suspected drink drivers have been arrested by Norfolk police in separate incidents this evening.
The first suspect was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in Diss, where a pedestrian crossing barrier and set of traffic lights were flattened.
Officers were called to the scene in Victoria Road in the town at around 6pm.
In a separate second incident, police stopped a driver on the A47 at North Burlingham after the vehicle attracted their attention.
It happened at around 6.10pm, and the driver was found to be nearly twice the legal limit.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
In the third incident, a suspected drink driver was arrested after a crash in North Walsham Road, Norwich.
Roads policing sergeant Chris Harris tweeted details of the incidents, as Norfolk and Suffolk roads policing teams work to target the so-called 'fatal four' driving offences - speeding, distraction including mobile phones, seatbelts and driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.
