The new Postwick Hub junction improvement is on course for the main works to be complete by Christmas.

Traffic lights at the new junction south of the A47 are scheduled to go live on Wednesday 16 December.

Despite the announcement Norfolk County are warning it will take time for the new junction to work efficiently at peak hours, due to new alternative routes through the junction for motorists and traffic lights finding their optimal times.

When first switched on the traffic lights will be adapting to the changing traffic flows before gradually establishing optimal timings.

Temporary traffic control is expected to remain in place during peak times at the junction.

On Monday night (December 14th) there will be a full closure of the eastbound A47, overnight between 8pm and 6am allowing for final work on the slip road.
