New Year's Day joggers were given an extra dose of inspiration to keep on running after spotting marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe.
The athlete, who holds the women's world record for completing a marathon in two hours 15 minutes and 25 seconds, was spotted running in Norfolk on Friday.
After one person tweeted her to confirm if she had been in the county, she replied 'It was me - Happy New Year.'
Mrs Radcliffe, 42, is a three-time winner of the London Marathon and is a former world champion in marathon, half-marathon and cross country.
She has also represented Great Britain at the Olympics four times from 1996 to 2008.
