Norwich City footballer Dieumerci Mbokani was at Brussels Airport on Tuesday morning during the terror attacks in which at least 26 people are feared dead.
Mbokani was on his way to his home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the national team plays against Angola in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on March 26.
A website which covers the Congolese team tweeted a photo of Mbokani in the airport and said: 'We wanted to reassure fans Mbokani and Bakambu are fine despite the explosion at Brussels Airport.'
Cedric Bakambu, Mbokani's team mate, plays for Villarreal.
Norwich City Football Club confirmed the on-loan Dinamo Kiev striker was 'unharmed but shaken' by the tragedy.
'The Club is in constant dialogue with Dieumerci, who has now returned home to be with his family,' a statement said. 'The thoughts of everyone at Norwich City are with the victims of the atrocities in Belgium today and their relatives.'
