Fire fighters were called to two homes on Saturday to deal with a build up of smoke caused by burnt food.
An appliance from Attleborough was sent to a property on St Edmunds Gate shortly before 12.38pm after an alarm was activated.
On arrival, crews discovered the smoke had been caused by burnt food and used a ventilation fan to clear it.
Less than an hour later, the fire service was called to a home on Beatty Close, in Great Yarmouth, following an alarm activation.
A fire crew based in the town attended the address shortly after 1.30pm to find it had also been caused by burnt food.
