The Crown Prosecution Service are to consider if any further action should be taken against a driver who strapped a wardrobe to a roof using bubble wrap in Great Yarmouth.

The motorist was pulled over by Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Unit on Sunday, when officers also found a passenger lying beneath a set of wardrobe doors, which were being carried inside the red vehicle.

The driver was interviewed by Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Unit for causing or likely to cause danger by reason of load or passengers, but was not arrested.

The case has now been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service who will decide if any further action will be taken against the driver.

Norfolk Police's Sergeant Chris Harris posted the above picture of the car on Twitter, and said: 'A single piece of bubble wrap is not sufficient 2 secure a wardrobe to a car roof.'
