The Lowestoft lifeboat was called out this morning (Thursday) after a small fishing boat reported gearbox problems.
The call came in at 9.38am, after the Lady Cinderella vessel reported the problem – when positioned 15 miles east of Lowestoft.
It took the crew of the Shannon-class all-weather lifeboat Patsy Knight, about 30 minutes to reach the boat, which had one fisherman on board.
In calm conditions, the vessel was towed back to port by the lifeboat – which took about three hours.
