Six fire crews attended a fire at an industrial unit in Thetford last night.
Crews from Thetford, East Harling, Diss, Attleborough, Hethersett and Wymondham were called to Brenntag Inorganic Chemicals Ltd, on Brunel Way, just after 11pm.
Water carrier crews from Fakenham and Hethersett and the Environmental Protection Unit from Sprowston were also mobilised.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said so many appliances had been called as a 'precautionary' measure in case there were chemicals involved, but this was found not to be the case.
Crews used dry powder extinguishers to put out the fire. The building was checked for any release of chemicals and none was found.
