As the search for missing Sylvia Stuart continues, police have used a new piece of advanced technology to help trace the 69 year old.

A drone was deployed by Essex police yesterday to search the farmland which surrounds the house in Weybread which Mrs Stuart shared with her husband, Peter.

Despite the heavy rain which fell in north Suffolk for most of the day, the drone was able to take to the skies for two hours where it took videos and photographs.

It is now 11 days since the couple were first reported missing. Mr Stuart's body was found 50ft from the couple's home on June 3. He had been stabbed multiple times. The drone search comes as the hunt for the key suspect, Ali Qazimaj, moved focus to Albania after an Albanian mobile number connected to the 42-year-old forklift driver was given to investigators by a Sunday newspaper.

The joint Suffolk and Norfolk Major Investigation Team is continuing to liaise with international law enforcement agencies to trace Mr Qazimaj, who has also previously used the alias of Marco Costa and had been living in the Tilbury area of Essex.

Det Chief Supt Simon Parkes said: 'Over the weekend police have

been continuing searches and these will be ongoing in a bid to locate Sylvia.

'A lot of work is continuing behind the scenes, including liaison with authorities on the continent to try to locate Ali Qazimaj.

'While we won't comment on individual pieces of information being fed into the inquiry, we are grateful to all of those who have been assisting us.

'We would still like to hear

from anyone who may have information that may help the investigation.'

On Sunday, friends of Mr and Mrs Stuart searched the area around Wortwell, which is around five miles from Weybread.

Anyone with any information about her whereabouts is asked to call Suffolk Police through the incident room on 01473 782000.
