More than 80 photographs were entered in the competition, which was judged on Tuesday, May 24 at the Wymondham Dell Bowls Club.

Society committee member Des King said: 'The competition was segmented into four categories, those being, landscape, portrait, natural history and pictorial/general.

'There were some excellent images presented and the judge had a challenging task to provide his critique and scores. Images were additionally segmented into colour and monochrome with the top image in each section being selected together with the best overall image in the category.'

David Barnes won a prize for the best image of the competition with The Watcher, which also won the pictorial and general category.
