As a cockerel it would not be wrong to assume that Freddie's football allegiance in the European Championships would be with France.
After all the Gallic rooster is the symbol of Les Bleus.
However Freddie has snubbed the French and has shown his patriotic side by selecting England as the team he predicts to win the tournament.
We met the four-year-old at his home in Wroxham Barns, where he is popular among staff and visitors because of his handsome appearance.
The flags of each country were put onto floor in their groups and Freddie made his pick.
Each of the six winners went into the final and the three lions faced tough competition, including Germany.
But in the pecking order England was clearly Freddie's number one.
Eileen Calverley, junior farm manager at Wroxham Barns, said: 'He is a very patriotic cockerel. It could not have gone any better.
'We hope he has predicted the winner and it will be nice for England to win.
'I think Freddie enjoyed himself. He was donated to us three years ago and he is a lovely cockerel. He is a mixed breed. He is very pretty and handsome.'
Let's hope Freddie has something to crow about as England progresses through the tournament.
