It was a busy night for firefighters in north Norfolk.

Motorists are being warned to take it easy on the roads after firefighters were called out to reports of three crashes in north Norfolk within just two hours of each other last night (Saturday).

At 8pm, a crew from Aylsham made a vehicle and the surrounding area safe following a road traffic collision on Cawston Road. They also assisted police and gave casualty care.

At 8.35pm, a crew from Cromer responded to another smash on the Thorpe Market Road, Roughton.

And then, just before 10pm, crews from Aylsham, Sprowston and Carrow used hydraulic rescue equipment to free a trapped casualty from a vehicle following a road traffic collision on Aylsham Road. Crews also made the vehicle and surrounding area safe and gave casualty care.

Earlier in the day, firefighters in Sheringham responded to an alarm sounding in the town's Shannock Court, shortly before 1.30pm. However, this was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.
