A mother whose son suffered from anorexia is taking on a trio of gruelling physical challenges for charity.
Becky Cooper, who lives in Wymondham, is doing a coast-to-coast bike ride, triathalon and 16-mile run to raise money for Norwich-based eating disorder service Beat.
Beat came to the aid of her 19-year-old son Ben, who is now helping Mrs Cooper's fundraising.
Mrs Cooper, an assistant director at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust, said: 'Ben, was hospitalised at aged 14 for a few months with anorexia. His health had been rapidly declining and he had to have food reintroduced slowly.
'It was an incredibly difficult time both for him and for us as a family, and it was really hard to know how best to help with his recovery.'
Mr Cooper said: 'Both mum and I really wanted to say thank you for all the support I received, so I asked her if she would take on the challenges to raise money and awareness. I'm proud of her for taking this on.'
The challenges include a 150-mile cycle challenge from Seascale in Cumbria to Whitby in Yorkshire on 25 June, the Buttermere Triathlon in September and a 16-mile lake and fell run Ennerdale, in October.
