The pews were full of paws when a Norfolk church welcomed in all creatures great and small for its annual service for pets and their owners.
The medieval St Michael's Church in Braydeston, between Brundall and Blofield, held its first pet service four years ago.
It proved so popular, that the church has made it an annual event, opening its doors to four legged friends and other animals.
Today saw plenty of canine companions, a number of furry felines and even a hamster heading into the church.
The Revd Peter Leech, rector of Brundall Benefice, said: 'The church was full, mostly with dogs, but we also had some cats and hamster as well. The dogs joined in the singing in full voice, which was very nice.
'It's a really important service for us, where we thank God for the companionship which these pets bring. That can be so beneficial for people.'
And, following the service, pets and their owners were treated to a dog obedience demonstration by Walsham Obedience Club, which meets at Blofield Sea Scouts Hall in Yarmouth Road.
