The world of books was brought to life through readings and craft workshops at an inaugural Lowestoft Library Children's Festival.
Held on Saturday (October 22) at Lowestoft Library, the festival saw local author Gracie Wright reading from her first book, Tea With Bea, with the library turned into a garden tea party to accompany the reading.
Ms Wright said: 'It was fantastic. They made me feel so welcome and it was just a beautiful experience. I was taken aback by the library team and their work - they made the children feel so special and it was a really good turnout.'
Following the garden tea party, which included cakes and flowers made by the children, poet and author Terry Tarbox read from his The Willigrews stories and recited poetry for all to enjoy.
After a lunchtime interval, an octopus-themed craft session took place alongside a reading of Hercules the Tap-Dancing Octopus by Alan Popham.
This interactive session saw bubbles fill the library courtesy of a bubble machine, as children crafted their own paper octopuses.
The festival concluded with a questions and answer session with acclaimed children's author Francesca Armour-Chelu.
