The OPEN Youth Trust (OPEN) is hoping to help make history, by taking part in the 2016 'Stack Up' Guinness World Record in speed stacking.

Young people have been asked to join OPEN at their city centre hub between 3pm and 7pm tomorrow, to become the only participants in Norfolk to be taking part in this Guinness World Record attempt.

OPEN will be one of only nine locations in the UK, which will see thousands of participants across the world taking part in what Guinness World Records terms; the 'World's Largest Speed Stacking event.'

Karl Dickerson, OPEN youth activity supervisor, said: 'Up stacking and down stacking cups is energizing, brain-activating and as this is a world-record-setting activity we are encouraging as many young people as possible to come and either take part or support this event. Ideally we are looking for 25 stackers to take part on the day.'

During the course of the Guinness World Records day, speed stackers from all reaches of the world will be up stacking and down stacking various pyramids in prescribed patterns at lightning speed for at least 30 minutes, all combined with a variety of fitness activities.

Last year, 618,394 stackers participated to break the previous year's STACK UP! record of 592,292.Once again, tens of thousands of stackers are expected to contribute their speed stacking skills from across the United States and around the world in countries such as Hungary, Germany, Israel, South Korea, New Zealand, Colombia, and Taiwan.
