The needle may be sharp but the chair will be soft for patients having their blood taken at a north Norfolk surgery.
Wroxham and Hoveton Lions' Club has donated the full cost - just under £1,000 - of a new phlebotomy chair for their local GPs' clinic.
Hoveton and Wroxham Medical Centre takes around 550 blood samples each month.
Annette Blackburn, practice manager, said: 'The surgery takes around 550 blood samples a month, so the chair has meant not only greater comfort for those patients and better accessibility for our less able bodied patients but also increased clinical safety too.'
