Christy Finch fired Norwich United to within three points of the Ryman League North play-off places on a windy night at Plantation Park.
It was the visitors who had the best chance of opening the scoring in the first half but with just keeper Andy Wilton to beat Jeremiah Maja hit his shot wide.
The Planters took the lead in the first minute after the interval, Adam Hipperson timed his inch- perfect pass to perfection and Finch raced into the box to slot the ball past Lamar Johnson.
Wilton did well to tip over a long range shot from Mason Bloomfield and Nathan Stewart was denied by Johnson but it was a game where the defences were on top and chances were at a premium.
Norwich United: Wilton, Shipley, Brown, Mason (Wones 63), Eastaugh, Watts, Stewart (Radomski 74), Speller, Hipperson, Henery (Datacompol 88), Finch. Unused subs: L Jackson, Johnson.
Attendance: 98
