A disabled riding charity is staging its first craft and country show to raise vital funds for its work.
West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled needs to raise £125,000 a year to run the Magpie Centre at Wallington Hall, off the A10 near King's Lynn. It hopes the event on Sunday, August 20, will help it to showcase its work.
Chairman Rosie O'Grady said: 'We have grown enormously, we give over 100 riding lessons a week and over 40 carriage driving lessons. It's a totally-focussed riding for the disabled centre.'
Mrs O'Grady said the group, which was originally set up in 1990, was buying an extra carriage, to help it cope with the demand for lessons from people with physical and learning disabilities. The vehicle alone will set it back more than £10,000.
The event in August will include displays of classic cars, bikes and other vehicles, along with children's entertainment and fairground rides.
There will also be riding and carriage driving demonstrations, including a display from paralympic show jumper Susi Rogers-Hartley, who lives near King's Lynn. There will also be a horse show, craft fair and food on site.
Anyone who would like to book a trade stall for the August 20 event should call Graham Adderson on 07957 335104.
The charity is also staging quiz and hog roast evenings. The first one of 2017 is at a new venue, Fincham village hall, on Saturday, April 1. Doors open at 7pm.
