Mental health staff are sought for a new specialist service which will help women suffering from ante/post natal depression.
Following a £2.5m grant from the Department of Health, via NHS England, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) has launched a recruitment drive for its planned new community perinatal service.
The service will care for pregnant women and new mothers with serious mental health problems, as well as providing support for the rest of the family.
There are around 500 women in Norfolk and Waveney with a severe perinatal mental health need, with another 3,000-5,000 women with mild to moderate needs.
NSFT are now recruiting a specialist team for the service, consisting of consultant psychiatrists, mental health nurses, a social worker, nursery nurse, and occupational therapist.
