A volunteer coastguard who has served for more than 20 years on the north Norfolk coast has retired.

Robert Frost has been a retained coastguard at Hunstanton for 22 years, the last eight of them as station officer.

During this time he has seen many changes within HM Coastguard as it continues to modernise to help keep people safe around the UK coastline.

His team said they would like to thank him for all his years of service and wish him all the best for the future.

They also hope that his wife Julie enjoys having him around more.

With the departure of Mr Frost, Michael Fysh has been promoted to station officer and Chris Guy to deputy station officer.

The Hunstanton team currently has vacancies. Anyone interested in joining can follow its Facebook page for upcoming recruitment events or email hunstantoncoastguardteam@gmail.com.
