Three people have been arrested after what police described as 'a disturbance' in Norwich.
Police officers were called to Valpy Avenue in Mile Cross, Norwich on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm after reports of a disturbance.
A man with neck injuries was discovered at the scene and taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
About half a dozen police vehicles, including forensics vans and the dogs unit, went to the scene.
Part of the road was sealed off with blue and white police tape, while forensics investigators, wearing white boiler suits, examined the scene and took photographs.
About five houses were behind the cordoned off area, which was eventually lifted at about 4.30pm.
People living nearby spoke of their surprise at what had happened.
One woman said she was relieved to hear there had been three arrests, but did not know what had happened.
Another set of neighbours said they had not heard anything and only became aware something had happened when the police turned up,
One man said: 'People are saying that someone has been stabbed, but it's all just hearsay at the moment.'
A spokesman for Norfolk police said: 'Three persons have been arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where they will be questioned in due course.
'Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this time and seek to reassure local residents.'
