Shoppers can nominate their favourite independent shops, eateries and salons for the first time in this year's South Norfolk Independent Retailer Awards.

This is the third year South Norfolk Council has run the awards, which was originally part of the council's market towns initiative.

South Norfolk Council's Deputy Leader, Councillor Michael Edney said: 'These awards celebrate our local retailers and the exceptional quality of service they provide. Many of our shops are quirky and unique and help shape our district's special character, we want that to be promoted and recognised.

'So whether you're a butcher in Bunwell, a café in Costessy or a Farm Shop in Framingham Earl, make sure your business is entered for a chance to win the coveted title of South Norfolk Independent Retailer of the Year 2017.'
